Tim: How can I help you sir?
Customer:It’s about this watch.
Tim:What seems to be the problem?
Customer:The alarm doesn’t work and the strap leaves a green mark on my wrist when I take it off.
Tim:Have you worn the watch in the shower perhaps sir?
Customer:No and I only bought it two weeks ago. It’s still under guarantee but I must say, for the amount of money I paid for it, I’m very disappointed.
Tim:I’m so sorry you’ve been inconvenienced. Would you like a refund?
Customer:No, I’d rather have the watch replaced please.
Tim:Right, well, I’ll just take down your purchasing details and we’ll get this watch changed for you in no time at all.

My experience in Unit 1 was very enjoyable as I learn many new things. My challenges were learning about homophones and minimal pairs as I didn’t know how to differentiate them. My strong point were my previous experience and knowledge in english which made me undertand very easily, but my weak points were my pronunciation, which it still make it difficult to me to express myself. I think a good moment in class were the games to understand better the pronunciation of the words.

Use of english:

My experience in Unit 1 was great moment for me, because I learned new things! My challenges were learn the parts of speech, like the nouns, adverbs, etc. Because I had never learned it correctly. My strong points were the previous knowledge of english, that made me understand the unit more quickly. On the other hand, my weak side was the fact that I didn’t know verbs, adjectives, etc. correctly. A good anecdote was the use of the Oxford dictionary in class, listening to all the computers saying the same word at the same time.

Interviewer:How long have you been working at McCarthy’s?
Tim: For the last 3 years.
Interviewer:And have you always worked in retail?
Tim:Yes I have. In fact ever since I was young I’ve been interested in commerce. My first job was in a newsagent’s when I was still at school.
Interviewer:I see, and what are your strengths and weaknesses?
Tim:Well, some might say I’m a little head-strong. I do leap into projects and sometimes my enthusiasm can be a bit overwhelming. My strengths? I’m a great team-player. For example, when the stockroom was understaffed recently, I jumped at the chance to help out.
Interviewer:Lovely. Well thank you for coming in today. We’ll be in touch very soon.

Michael: I’m trying to give up fast food but it’s just so easy and cheap. I’m really beginning to run out of money so I can’t afford better food and I’m really missing my mum’s cooking and I don’t know how to cook the way she does and I miss my friends and I don’t have a job.
Alice:Oh Michal, don’t cry. Come here pet, let me give you a hug.
Helen:Michal! Alice! What the hell do you think you’re doing?

Hi! My name is Camila Barros, but my friends use to call me cherry. I was born on October 11th, 2006 in Arica, Chile. I live with my mom and my older sister and I love them with all my heart. Also, I love cats, but I can’t adopt one because my mom is allergic. I like pink, it’s my favourite colour.

I’m pescetarian, which means I don’t eat meat or chicken, but I can eat fish, seafood, eggs, milk and cheese. My favorite food is the spaghetti with tuna or avocado.

My passion is dance, I do it every weekend and in my free time. My favorite band is Pierce The Veil which is a Post-hardcore band; other bands and singers that I like are Dreamcatcher, My Chemical Romance, LOONA, AKRIILA, Melanie Martinez, Sleeping With Sirens and Trueno.
